Speedball ink on Cotton Rives BFK 250 gsm.
Edition of 4. Signed and numbered.
13” x 18”.
This piece I didn’t know whether to thrash or if I was in love with it. However, the process was a hell of a lot of fun. I intended to make a 3-stage reduction of abstract elements forming a ship. The ship came out quite literal.
I also wanted to push myself with some psychadelic elements. Similar to Zeta, I enjoyed the industrial punk-rock feel and wanted to create something within that space.
After the run, I fell in love with the fact that these tiny details unique to each of the four pieces in the edition seemed to show themselves the more I studied the finished product. I simple step in an analog process produces stunningly different results. That’s why I offer it in two colorways.
Yes, the signature is upside-down, a sign of my struggle to make sense of why I loved the end result.
